“one of twitter’s stars” from Amy Wood, Interactive News Anchor for 7 On Your Side.
“Last fall, I was seeing predictions that it would take us to 2014 to reach a ‘normal’ unemployment rate of 6 percent,” she said. “Now those predictions are seven to 10 years in the future. That’s why I am having to think outside of the box, because some of my job descriptions no longer exist, and they won’t return.”
She uses social media and joined LinkedIn, a business networking site, and Twitter to check on prospects. Pittman is one of more than 15,000 people looking for work in the county.

Becky Pittman, a Spartanburg resident and longtime advocate of the arts, started the Facebook group “Save the SC Arts Commission NOW” to encourage South Carolina residents to contact their state delegates and urge them to override the veto.
Becky Pittman, chair of the Leadership Council of the Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg and a longtime supporter of the arts, has been working to get government officials to vote against these vetoes.
Pittman has also been using technology to connect with legislature, especially Facebook and Twitter.
“We don’t want to take a step backward nor do we want to hamper the economic future by having such a cripple[d] arts scene that investing companies choose to bypass us, Pittman said.”

about Business Services
Becky is a dedicated professional who sees the big picture but does not forget about the details. I could always rely on her to be proactive in identifying what work needed to be done for the 3rd party contracts associated with a project, what problems had been encountered on past projects and how to avoid repeating those mistakes, and the best way to meet any scheduling constraints and approval processes. Becky juggles a lot of things simultaneously; yet is always willing to lend a hand where needed. She is a true professional.
Diane Burgess, PMP, at HP Enterprise Services (formerly EDS)
Becky did a fine job in any assignment she and I worked on and achieved successful results with creativity and persistance. She has a very wide background of experience (e.g. accounting, finance, contracts, negotiations) to call upon which made her valuable to our team.
Joe Neuman, HP Enterprise Services Contracts Manager
Becky was our single point of contact for any and all 3rd party contract issues. She is very detail oriented and stays on top of every aspect. Becky would be an asset to any business.
